7:00 pm – 9:00 pmGarb is encouraged, but optional.
If participating in combat, groin protection is necessary. This applies to fencing and heavy combat.
If participating in fencing, arms and legs must be covered. Please wear comfortable pants and something with sleeves.When indoors, please wear non-scuffing shoes.
Group gear is available, so don’t let your lack of fight-kit keep you away!
Although the SCA complies with all applicable laws to try to ensure the health and safety of our event participants, we cannot eliminate the risk of exposure to infectious diseases during in-person events.
By participating in the in-person events of the SCA, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks. You agree to take any additional steps to protect your own health and safety and those under your control as you believe to be necessary.April/May 2024 Location:

There is a one-month no-fee grace period for new players.

Currently on most Thursdays and Sundays, for indoor shooting at Bowbusters Range in Vanscoy SK. Weather permitting, Sunday shooting will be at a local farm north of Saskatoon until it gets too cold. Bowbusters has a membership fee, non members can shoot as guests 2 times as per Sask Archery insurance rules.
Meetup time for Convoy/Carpool:
Thursdays: 6:00 PM
Sundays: 12:30 PMDonations to the archery equipment fund are appreciated.
We have loaner equipment you can borrow if you do not have a bow!
Carpool is from the Confederation Mall, by the Freshco and bus terminal.Directions can be provided if you cannot make it to the car pool.

- An Urgent Announcement Regarding Tuesday’s Gatherings:
For the past year we have been enjoying access to the McNeil Fitness Center every Tuesday evening for fight practice and arts and science. The facility has chosen to return to their pre-pandemic scheduling, and as such we will no longer have access to our practice space. Our last practice at the McNeil Fitness Center will be Tuesday March 26th. We would like to thank the McNeil Fitness Center for being our hosts for the past year.
We understand that this news comes very suddenly, and apologize for being unable to give any more notice. We are working as quickly as possible to secure a new space, please bear with us in the meantime.
We are aware that this may raise concerns regarding practice fees. We ask your patience as we secure a new space, and that any pressing concerns be directed to the seneschal or baron and baroness. They can be reached most easily at seneschal@myrganwood.org and bandb@myrganwood.org respectively.
Our deepest apologies for the sudden change. We will strive to keep the populace updated as we navigate this transition.

- Fight Practice Location for April/May
Officers are currently at work finalising practice space at Cosmo Civic Centre’s Combat Room for the next two months of Fight/A&S Nights. Practices will remain on Tuesday evenings, and run from 7-9.

Demonstrations and Other Activities:
The Barony of Myrgan Wood has hosted demonstrations in the past. We’ve presented at schools, conventions, and festivals in order to share our love of all things medieval.
Our most recent event was Friday, January 19th at Walter Murray Collegiate Institute, where we met with students and showed them swords!
Please email the Chatelaine if you would like to discuss booking a demonstration at an upcoming medieval event.
